whats the release under my seat for???

under the drivers seat right under my right leg is some kind of latch....i can pull upward on it but nothing seems to happen.
i looked under the seat and it seems to have a cable that goes to the left slider under the seat but i couldnt see very well so im not sure where the cable ends....what the heck is it for??? zimmmy

it seems like it's the release to adjust the seat from you're description. You know, to slide it back and forth.

naw, thats on the left....this isnt a bar, its a scallop shaped handle that pulls up.
though it might be a trunk release but nothin pops when i pull it......z

hop out, and try to adjust, it may raise, or lower the seat. mine does.

I pulled mine, the T-top opened, and I was ejected. I'm glad I tried it while parked...could've been messy on the freeway...
