Y87 Option on firebirds

Does anyone know what the Y87 option is on the Firebird? Is this similar to a camaro RS in terms of what suspension and tranny it has?

yes. It means you have limited slip, four wheel disc brakes, z28 steering ratio, dual exhaust, traction control, and 3.42 differential.

is there a noticable difference in 0-60 times with the 3.42 gears and the g80 option

... Noticable is a very subjective term, 3.42's would make an improvement over 2.73 gears in a 1/4 mile. I'm not familar with the g80 option
