As the Media Embed Officer for RC-East (Regional Command Eastern Afghanistan) I do stay busy and rather stressed out. Some of these people are real jerks though. I have 8 months left to go....I go on vacation in two days, should take about a month so in reality about 7 months left to go.

I suggest spending a little bit of time as an E-5, at least get the feel for it, I dont know how long its going to take to get your last classes out of the way. Being prior enlisted NCO is respected by most above and beyond the gold bar. They will call you "Sir" as always but there is that extra bit of respect for knowing what it is that the enlisted go through. Hang in there with the Commissioning program. They are going to throw tons of crap at you for no other purpose than to see how much you can take. If you can imagine a bootcamp with no yelling and where all of your physical challenges are way up in the air unless your running. You will learn to fear the pen and paper when you are messing up.  -- If your whining isn't coming from underneath the hood I dont want to hear it.

Im in Kyrgystan right now waiting on my flight back to the west and home. Give me about a month though and maybe my answer will be different.
