Hello, Ive heard different ways in converting drum to disc on a 1995 v6 camaro and I have a few questions that if I could get cleared up.
1)Is the differential in the 3.4L model the same as the z28's?
2)If not then would i just need a new diff, axle shafts, and driveshaft? (excluding brake components)

From the sound of your post, are you just looking to upgrade from drums to a rotor configuration? If you are going to do that, you will need the abs sensors for the rear, and I would recommend doing steel braided brake lines from www.ftpp.net all the way around, or you should get the extended brake lines off of another car.
If you buy the complete rear end from an LTx or LSx Fbody, it will all swap over. Besides the drum brakes on the 95, it should all bolt up.
Also, check on your door for a GUxx code. That will tell us what rear end gear ratio you have. The auto v6 has a open differential with usually 2.73 gear ratio. A V8 rear end will always be a posi/LSD unit. The typical rear end on a v6 is 2.73 or 3.23 gear with an open differential.
If you can find a rear from an 8 cylinder, try to find one from a 93-02 manual transmission. These will generally be a 3.42 gear.
I love 3.73's, IMO the best for straight line and for those of us that DD our cars, gas mileage also. Got anymore questions, let us know!
