v6 to v8 carb 94 charging problem

i put a carbed 98 motor in my 94 v6 camaro yes i had to us the lt1 k member an motor mounts the front motor brackets came out of a older camaro tunport i have bypassed the vat system did away withthe computer having problems withthe charging it runs off the batt i ran the wire from the batt to the alnatoror and then have not wired up the volt regulator couse i dont know how and looked all day on the net and did not find ny thing any help it the alt out of 89 chevy 1500 truck
