Nice car brah. But IMO it would look way better in black, not a fan of teal. What did ya do to the 3.8?

IMO i looove the teal. it has really grown on me. lets see theres a ton done to the bird but im assuming youre talking about the motor. its completely rebuilt with all these goodies

bored .3 over
speedpro pistons
comp cam
upgraded the valve springs, retainers, locks, etc.
1.6 rr
milled
decked
extruded and honed
p n p heads
p n p upper and lower intake manifolds
four angle valve job

then i threw on for sh%ts and giggles some pacesetter headers, msd plug wires and coils with some nkg plugs, and an aluminum driveshaft. ive still gotta put the corvette servo in along with my b&m polished super tranny cooler. it already had the slp intake, tb spacer, 180* thermo, and a flowmaster exhaust with a cutout after cat.

theres still so much more i want but i ran out of funding lol. the project will continue at some point though

oh and everything inside is coated with this red spray...dont know the name of it but apparently its good stuff. it keeps the oil from sticking to everything and gumming it up. in the words of the shop that built it "the oil will flow like a madman". and actually my oil pressure has been insanely good. it will fluctuate from around 70-85 pounds of pressure. guy up at the shop said his vette didnt even have that good of oil pressure.

yeah the shop that built it really does stock cars...thats their thing. they dont normally built up pov's (personal vehicals). i knew about em from w.o.m. they told me it should be about 300 to the wheels. no one believes me (or them for that matter), but only time will tell, next spring im gonna hit the dyno. all i know is tonight i threw it sideways at <2500 rpms lol (yeah that was fun) wish i woulda been able to afford the stroker kit too. ill try to get the name of that red stuff for everyone who is interested

oh and i forgot to add that they used arp bolts and studs (so shes held together well)

Hey man, Very very nice ride. Teal is actually my second fav color for an Fbody, but i like odd colors i guess (check sig). You must have some serious money invested in that motor. post a vid of it running if you get a chance i'd love to hear what it sounds like.

can i post the vid directly to this??? and yes howi its n/a no power adder but when i make it big some day (hahaha) id like to build the tranny and rear and slap a turbo on. sort of unrealistic at this point but hey i can dream. 5k invested in motor too to answer youre question goldcamaro. like i said though thats a full rebuild not just using the old stuff with some new. she spun the tires today at 3200 rpms...sick! muahaha any suggestions on traction aside from waiting for it to get warm

Subframes, LCA's, relocation brackets, Heavy Duty shocks, shoud be a good place to start I'm thinking. trying for 12s?

i was thinking lower portion of 13's??? but 12's would be sexy lol. gotta do a gear swap first a foremost. then i think lca's. subframes wouldnt help much in a drag race though i wouldnt think. i just replaced the shocks bout a month before the engine shot craps....so those are good. wish i was rich again...buy myself some slicks for the track lol

NOOOOOOO, Subframes will help you ALOT off the line.

If your sitting on 300rwhp, thats well enough power to get you into 12s with the right setup, friggin lnorton hit a 12.83 with about 50-40 rwhp less than you, and his car(besides the engine) is mostly stock. 4.10s FTW! ask crunk, lol. And IMO I think your car would perform better with drag radials at the track.

well then ill start with gears, then lcas, then some subframes, and if i can save up again lol...get some drag radials put on a new set of rims. will drag radials work well for a dd on the street during the summer or no? if so maybe ill just slap em on my summer rims

I didn't think so, I got some free LT1 rims from a friend and put the ET Streets on them. I'm going to just slap those on when I go to the track. But if you really want to ride around with drag radials, Nitto has the most street friendly ones you can get. From what I hear they only have about 15k miles of treadlife tho.

One more thing. "all i know is tonight i threw it sideways at <2500 rpms"

yeah lol throw it sideways at idle hahaha. no i would like a stall but that wont be for a while too. gotta look more into that one because im not sure exactly what i want/need to remain streetable, but still do well at the track.

wish someone would give me some free rims lol. and 15000 miles isnt bad if you were to only use em at the track. thats a lot of times down the track. 60,000 times hahaha
