An actual tech question.

Do you guys think a sticking EGR valve would cause my rpm's not to drop whenever I shift? I did my plugs and wires about 20k ago, and checked them with my oil change. The plugs had the normal carbon build up. I have also recently replaced the PCV valve. Also have cleaned out the MAF with some cleaner, and it idles great now.

So yeah, Just wondering if it might be a bad EGR or 02's going out. Not throwing any codes.

Yeah, makes sense it would be the EGR. Mine won't throw any codes because I had that programmed out when I got my PCMforless tune. I will try that out this weekend.

No.

Sticking EGR would drop RPM, not raise it. It would make it rough and miss at idle and low throttle and disappear under heavy acceleration.

So probably a vacuum leak then?

Dirty TB, unmetered air, dirty MAF, programing glitch. Lots of things can do it.

^^I'm with you-

I have cleaned the TB, and the MAF within the past 2-3 weeks. As far as unmetered air, and the programming glitch, think I should go back and try my stock tune?

wouldn't hurt. unless the battery was unhooked or dead recently, in which case it's just going to take time to relearn throttle angles.
