Dynomax Super Turbo or Texas Rumbler

Posted By: mrcrazyhimself On: 03-18-2010 @ 09:32:42         Reply | Edit
What do you think would be for better sound/performance? Both are in my price range and i'm not looking to go nuts with an exhaust. I had a Dynomax ( not sure which model ) on my 2.8 firebird that I thought sounded great but just curious if the texas would be an upgrade.

Get the rumbler. I love mine!

I have a dynomax on my truck, and it sounds good (slightly too quiet imo), but don't know how it sounds on an fbody...

I don't want something super obnoxious and I find that on a V6, anything trying to do too much or sound like a V8 ends up sounding ricey and harsh. Is the rumbler still the way to go? Plus, the dynomax has the tips included, stainless steel.

I went with the dynomax. I had a great experiance with the one on my old firebird and the price was awesome. $220 for a full dual catback. If I was looking for a super deep sound, I would have spent more but my old firebird had 0 raspyness and has a nice low rumble that wasn't annoying in the car or outside.

I have the same Dynomax muffler and I like it much better than other brands that I have heard. I like that it isnt too loud and raspy.

I wasn't looking for something super aggressive or loud. It's a 6, A nice sounding, smooth exhaust is what i've found with dynomax and I noticed a small gain even with my 2.8 so hopefully i'll get the same with my 3.8

magnaflow...? that's probably the most middle of the road sound as you'll get. dynomax bullet/borla xr1 is going to sound like ASS

Borla sounds pretty good on V6's imo.

The rumbler doesn't sound obnoxious, just a bit louder than some of the others. even less ricey if you have headers... but thats the same with all of them.
