3.4L Camaro & 3.8L Mustang

Posted By: cubx On: 03-17-2010 @ 01:27:10         Reply | Edit
Im sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't find anything by searching.

How does a Stock 94 3.4L Camaro do against a 3.8L mid 90s Mustang?

All I could find on google on this topic was a video on youtube with a 3.4 against a 4.0 Mustang and I found it hard to believe that a stock 3.4L could beat a 4.0 mustang.

Sorry a buddy and I were wonderin about that tonight.

I'd say they would be about even. The camaro prob has a slight edge. I believe 160 hp and around 190-200 tq? The mustang has 145 hp.

Is it just me or have cars just gotten obscenely fast? The average V6 has 250 to 300 horse. That's pretty nuts...

I went up from a 98 z24 I was amazed just how much get up and go this car hard for a small 6. A few times I even smoked tires at a light....well mainly because it had been 4 years since I had a manual transmission and I need a slave cylinder. But she's got some power. When and if gas prices get better, I wanna clean the car up a bit. She needs lots of work, need a headliner, center console, and someone shoved a stock late 90s cavalier cd player in the dash

yeah, it pisses my cousin off that his GT only has like 20 more horsepower than my 3.8 with two extra cylinders.

'96 Camaro RS. Bone stock base model and I still love it.

Before I bought my 99 Y87, I had a 94 3.4. At the same time, my wife had a 98 3.8 A4 mustang. The mustang was a DOG. No power (150hp), lacking acceleration, poor handling. At least it looked pretty nice. http://oramac.tripod.com/Her_Stang_5.JPG

I ended up porting and polishing the upper intake, added a cold air intake, and put on some wider BFgoodrich tires. All these things helped, but none made the car even close to my camaro.

back when I had a 97 Camaro 3.8 m5, I used to play with a mid 90's GT on the highway all the time. We were as dead even as you can get..which doesnt say much for the GT

Atheism-The belief that there was nothing and nothing hapened to nothing and then nothing magically exploded for no reason, creating everything and then a bunch of everything magically rearranged itself for no reason what so ever into self-replication bits which then turned into dinosaurs...makes perfect sense.

the 3.4 does do surprisingly well against the mustang 4.0's, its a 50/50 shot usually.

God and Godzilla were in a fight and God was like I can kick your ass then Godzilla was like RAWRS no fucking way i'll rape you like a pigeon then an LSx Block came out of nowhere and sucked them in through a 105mm MAF sensor and now Jesus prays to LSx block every day for salvation.
