3800 motors from what cars will work in 98 bird?

Posted By: fergymoto On: 11-19-2009 @ 01:03:00         Reply | Edit
Hey guys, I got a 98 Firebird I'd like to find a cheap used 3800 long block for. What other cars would a long block out of be compatible besides Firebirds and Camaros?

The Grand Prixs used them until 2003 or 2004.

Bringing this back from the dead.

Does it make a difference if it comes out of a front or rear wheel drive vehicle?

I am ready to fix this car now, it's been on the back burner for a long time.

Doesn't matter. If it came from a front wheel drive vehicle, you will just have to swap the top end.
