Won my first race! HAHA (a 3.1 v6) Posted By: chad8329 On: 09-06-2008 @ 22:46:03 Reply | Edit Quite an achievement especially having a car that is so underpowered.  must have been that torque!!!ME- 1992 Firebird 3.1 v6 *4 speed AUTO 140 HP 180 TQ 3500 lbs (with driver) HIM- 1991 Saab 900 2.1 I4 N/A *5 speed MANUAL 133 HP 138 TQ 3100 lbs (with driver) I beat him off the line and I stayed in front by about five car lengths. RACE DETAILS I immediately pulled ahead of him through the intersection and I was ahead by 1.5 car lengths till about 40 mph, my car hit second, and as I approached 60 mph I was about 3-4 ahead...I then shift into D (dunno if you knew this but 3rd gen v6 auto fbodys downshift into 3rd when the gas is pushed 3/4 or more....a stupid gas saving measure that kills acceration! the car hit 3rd and went to about 80, then I let off and slowed down to turn and go home....at that point I was about 5 car lengths ahead.-- 1992 Pontiac Firebird 3.1L V6 Auto 129,000 miles Dark Aqua Metallic [ Edited on 05/28/2008 @ 02:27:21 ] Posted By: ObsidianSixer On: 05-28-2008 @ 03:36:33 Reply | Top | Edit whats your 0-60? --

My car has 3.23's stock in it so its not too bad getting upto 50-60 but after that its slow as shit. -- 1989 Pontiac Firebird with 2.8 Posted By: ledzppn69 On: 06-04-2008 @ 12:52:12 Reply | Top | Edit lol, i had a 2.8L camaro, got terrible gas mileage and was slow as balls. i was convinced it ran 18 or 19 second quarter mile times. it only had 88,000 miles and was well maintained as well, so it's not like the thing was a piece of shit. but it was. -- 93 z28, bolt ons, 1 of 17,850, super rare
