If anybody has been crazy enough to get the stoker kits offered by ZZ Performance or COME racing. I searched the forum but nobody had done it as far as I can tell. If anyone has I'm definately curious as to what kind of power you're making. -- '96 Camaro RS. Bone stock base model and I still love it.

That's kind of how I felt. If it was cheaper I would consider it.

Well, one of the reasons that it was knocked off my shopping list when I was purchasing everything to build my engine was that when you install a stroker kit then you no longer have a true 3.8 liter engine. From what Ive seen most of them turn the engine into a 3.9, 4.0 or even 4.1 liter V6 engine.....so then its not really fair to race another 3.8 V6 and get a victory when you dont have the same amount of displacement. At least when I race a LS1 or LS2 its a known fact that I "would" be placed at a disadvantage with my smaller displacement.
Another big reason why I cut it from my list of goodies was that I needed a bullet proof engine and that really could not be guaranteed with these aftermarket parts. I heard later that there is a forged and balanced stroker kit out there now for those of us with power adders. -- Why in the world would I ever want to downgrade to a V8?

Its actually worth every penny if you are going for the ultimate n/a setup. They'll take around 9lbs of boost fairly safely, but I wouldnt throw 15lbs at it like you could do on a stock setup. If I ever have the extra money laying around I'll probably do an n/a project with a stroker setup. -- 2005 GMC 1500HD 6.0L, 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix

Yeah but saddly the +2 cylinder mod typically means buying a new car. As long as Im buying a new car it might as well be something smooth, quiet and luxurious.......like a Volvo. Oh wait, I already did that! -- Why in the world would I ever want to downgrade to a V8?
