1999 White/Blue Pontiac TransAm

Have been a Pontiac fan all my life starting with my fathers 1966 GTO 389 Tri-Power 4spd 375HP block code YS which he bought new, the Tiger Gold paint and rear electric antenna and Police Interceptor camshaft package, I got my frist GTO when I was 16 it to being a 1966 389 4 barrel carb with a Powerglide Auto-matic, I then went on to own two other 66 GTO's all with Tri-Powers with engines from 389,400,428,455.It seemed that all the true Musscle Cars were to come to a end after 1973 and that we would never see that 60's Horse Power again, all the lack luster Trans/Am's and Camaros that followed in those dead years until the late 80's In 1987 I bought a new GTA Trans/Am LT1 350 TPI it seemed that someone kicked the ponny in the ass and the technology had come of age to regain the HP we lost in the 70's from 87 to 96 things remained about the same for GM and seemed to stagnate ounce again, that is until the LS1 came on seen when I frist saw the Ram-Air Trans/Am I laughed to my self thinking is this some kind of GM Pontiac marketing skeem, hell the last time I ever saw any thing that was Ram-Air was in the 60's and early 70's with the advent of Ram-Air induction and Ram-Air III IV Block and Heads with oval ports when Pontiac was experminting with the concept in late 1966 on the GTO up until 1973 on the Trans/Am with the 400 and 455 engines Ram-Air Heads with larger valves and better flow and thats really were the power was and not so much in the induction of that stinking Quarda-Jet Carb. So I test drove a 1998 WS6 I about wet myself the frist orgasam I had in years without fakeing it, dumped the clutch from 1st to 2nd and I was sold, problem it was late in 98 and none was to be found all were nearly sold out for that year, so my quest for a 99 was on for the up comming year only to find out that orders had already been placed and it seemed that I was to loose out again and as you all know you can never get a straight answer from the dealerships or some jack off salesmen I called all the dealerships in town and some out of state and with not much luck, it was late in December 98 by this time, when a new Pontiac dealership was built in town so I gave them a try they said they were only getting 2 more Ram-Air's and that all the others that they had be allocated had already been sold, Now bare this in mind Pontiac in Detroit kept the 30th Anniversary Edition somewhat a secret it was not shown at the Pontiac web site or even in the brochure hell I did'nt even know that there was going to be one, well kiss my ass I went to another dealership after hours in which to avoid pesty salesmen and there it was a 30th Anniversary"another orgasam" until I saw the asking price at $45,900 i soon went limp thinking to myself this is one Bird I wont be able to afford, So I went back the next day to ask why the Price was so high the Vulture "salesman" that is gives this lame excuse that this is a special car and that only 1500 are to be made and that this is the price your going to pay "NO EXCEPTIONS" with his arrogant attitude, I wanted to take him out back and put a boot up his ass, well I left with my Tiger Tail between my legs and went back to the other dealership to see what they had, none were on the lot so I went to the fleet dept of the dealership and asked what might be comming in they said only two more for the year that showed up on their computer a Silver one and a White one and both 6spd's but with no other information about the two cars and said to me if you want one you'd better put your money down NOW! cuz were getting alot of call on thees cars, I wanted a Black one a 6spd to but at this point in the game I'd have taken a Pink one with a straght 6cyl so I took the White one put my $1000 as a down setteled on the price at $31,500 and singed the papers done deal, now all I had to do was wait for it to show up in two months, the clock had ticked down to it's arrival date I was calling almost every day even showing up after hours sneeking around the Security Guard when one night around 3am I got a wild hair to go and look when I saw a 30th Anniversary sitting in the back lot behind the chained fence thinking to myself weres my white one, but I had to look at the 30th anyway, I always took my papers with me cuz i never knew when my would get there, the only problem was the Security Guard and how I was going to get over the fence "RECON" I got over the fence stelthly crouching behind cars to avoid the spotlight comming from the Security Patrol Buggy as I aproched my target my papers in my teeth as if it were my bayonet, I reached my target the elusive 30th I looked at the window sticker and the order Numbers only to find that they matched the numbers on my papers, I was in SHOCK could this be right or true I looked to confirm the numbers, they matched! I yelled out with a Cry of glory in which I gave out my position I had been caught by Security and now a POW I was kicked off the dealership lot, I returned to HQ and waited for zero hour when the dealership was to open, I called to ask if my car had arrived, I was put on hold many times thinking that something fishy was going on when some cheese dick salesman gets on the phone saying to me that the car had'nt arrived yet and even offered to give me my $1000 deposit back, which if any of you know is UNHEARD OF, if you back out of a deal you always loose your deposit, I told the salesman that I was there the night before and hopped the fence and confirmed that my car was there and that I was on my way to the dealership and that they had better do some straght talking or my attorney would, well that got their panties in a bunch, the dirty looks I got as I walked thru the door saying hears my papers give me my KEY'S! the rest is history as I drove off in my 30th flipping my Bird they too were in hopes of putting a High price on the car as did all the other dealerships. Pontiac dealerships learned a very valuble lesson that day "Dont Count Your Chickens Before Their Hatched"
