Tools Needed:
1 Razor blade
scissors
1 spray bottle of solution (standard size spray bottle filled with water and with 2 or 3 drops of JOY brand liquid dish washing soap)
Masking tape.

Parts Needed:
1 Box 15% or 20% Window tint STRIPS. About $10 at Autozone.
Clear corner lights. Must be clears since they are smooth. factory corner lights are not smooth.

I used 20% tint. DONT USE 5%, its too dark and your lights wont be seen.

Purpose:
To give your clear corners a smoked or blacked out look.

How - To:
Step 1
Clean your clear corner lenses with glass cleaner or alcohol wipes for eye/sun glasses.

Step 2
This step is optional.

Either remove your clear corner lights for easier access, or leave them in place. I left mine in place simply cause its a pain to remove them. I recommend it though becuase when finished, the tint will be slippery, and re-installing the corners may crease or move the tint.

Step 3
Cut a piece of window tint to an inch longer than your corners, and about 2 1/2 inches tall. You want some excess incase you mess up.

With the masking tape, cut two small pieces and place in the corner of the tint, one on one side and the other on the opposite side, but where the tape will stick to each other. The tint has a clear backing on to protect the adhesive side. The tape just helps peel off the old backing.

Step 4
With the clear backing removed, spray the sticky side of the tint with the solution. Be generous with the spray, you want the tint to move easily. With the back sprayed, then spray the clear corner itself, this just helps it move.

Step 5
Place the tint on the corner light, carefully sliding it into position. If you took the corner light out, this will be easier, if you left it in, slide some of the tint up so it will be hidden behind the body. This is just so you don't have to trim much, and create a nice smooth look.

Step 6
Do the best you can to smooth out the wrinkles, you won't get them all, but get what you can. You will be able to get the rest later.

Step 7
Let dry for a few hours.

Step 8
When dry, take the razor blade and CAREFULLY trim the excess tint off. I say carefully cause you don't want to scratch your car do you?

Step 9
With whatever wrinkles you have left, take your razor blade and cut a small vertical cut into it, this will allow any air/solution left in it to come out and let the tint stick.

Step 10

DON'T WASH YOUR CAR FOR AT LEAST 2 1/2 DAYS. This is so the tint can cure. High pressure car washes will peel off the tint.

Other than that, enjoy your new look for less than $20!!
