Tools Needed:
needle nose plyers
flat head screwdriver
filips screwdriver
Parts Needed:
1.hard plastic tube 5/16 diameter
2.zip ties
3.one 5/16 plug
4.one 3/8 plug
Purpose:
Keep antifreeze cooland from flowing through TB thus keeping it cooler. HP gain? heard it's 6hp, not sure though....maybe!
How - To:
Step 1 "Take out the air box"
Unhook the two latches for your ramair box. With flat screwdriver, pry the two plastic pins on either side of box up. Use same flat screwdriver to unhook the clip holding an air hose on the driver side of the air box. Next unscrew the metal ring holding the elbow going to the TB. ***DON'T FORGET*** Unplug those two sensor plugs going to the air box. TAKE OUT THAT AIR BOX.
Step 2 Locate the two hoses going to the TB. One in front of TB, other going into TB from driver side. Use plyers to pull back those metal clips. Pull off the hoses one by one and plug them up right away to avoid coolant spilage on to your belts and puleys. Use the plastic tube to put the two hoses you've taken off together. Now pull those metal clips back to right spot to keep hoses from comming apart.
***INPORTANT*** Make sure to face the clips openings up-ward to avoid scratching the top pulley.
Step 3 Asemble the airbox back together. ***remember*** plugs for sensors, ring around TB, 2 plastic pins, air hose on driver side.
Fire up your car, if you hear scweaky noise, means you spilled some cooland on the belt or one of the pulleys, just run the car for a little until this evaporates or use cloth and wipe puley while car is running. You are now DONE.
