Tools Needed:
Flathead Screwdriver, 8mm Wrench
Parts Needed:
Cold air kit, from K+N, Artic Blast, etc... A friend to help
Purpose:
By placing the air filter, or intake away from the engine, the air is colder. Colder air is denser than hot air, thus the engine can take in more air to each cylinder, thus firing more efficiently.
How - To:
Step 1 Open Hood
Step 2 Remove old air box
Step 3 If you have a firebird, disconnect the headlight module (it is a black box attached to the left fender sidewall inside the engine bay)
Step 4 Take off the bottom shield in front of the left tire using the 8 and 10mm wrench.
