7/32" Socket

Rachet Extension
Parts Needed:
Purpose:
Replace 110 MPH Speedo with 150 MPH Speedo.
How - To:
Step 1
 Remove gauge cluster fuse (#9).
Tilt steering column all the way up. Remove the panel under the steering column (held in with 2 philips head screws). Unplug rear defroster switch. Set panel aside.
Step 2
Remove the 2 7/32" bolts holding the radio trim plate. Open the glove box & remove the other 3 bolts for the trim plate. Set trim plate aside.
Step 3 Remove 2 9/32" bolts under steering column holding the gauge cluster trim plate. Remove the bolt on the side of the trim near the fuse block.
Step 4 Remove drivers side t-top. Remove the 2 exposed philips head screws. Remove a-pillar trim piece (it snaps out).
Step 5 Gently pry up the dash pad above the gauge cluster trim plate (it snaps out). You can reach under the dash pad with the socket & remove the other 2 9/32" bolts. There are more than 2 bolts under here, just find the 2 that hold the trim plate in place.
Remove the trim plate. If your car has the light for the alarm here you won't be able to remove it completely but you will be able to move it to the side enough to work.
Step 6
Remove the 4 9/32" bolts holding the cluster in place (they go through the white plastic part of the cluster).
Gently pull the cluster out exposing the plug. Carefully unplug the cluster by pulling on the plug (do not pull it by the wires).
Step 7
 Plug in the new cluster.
Put the cluster in the dash but don't bolt it down. Put the fuse in, start the car & check gauges to see if they look correct. You might want to take a ride around the block to see if your speedo is correct.
Step 8 If everything seems OK bolt it down & re-install everything.
