LT4 Knock Module
Category:  Computer/Diagnostic
Difficulty:  1
Approximate Time:  15 minutes
Application(s):  94-97 LT1/LT4

Tools Needed:
T20 Torx screwdriver
10MM Socket
Rachet
3" Extension
Flat Head Screwdriver

Parts Needed:
LT4 knock module (#16214681)
**Note: you can get these for about $26.00. Don't overpay.**

Purpose:
Eliminate false knock from noisy valvetrain, headers, etc.

How - To:
Step 1
Disconnect negative battery cable or remove fuse labeled "PCM". Use the socket to unbolt the computer from the passenger side fender.

Step 2
Carefully pull the computer out (the wires are long enough) & turn it over exposing the small cover on the back.

Step 3
Use the T20 to remove the cover exposing the old knock module(you may need to pry it up with the screwdriver). Be VERY careful not to drop anything under the hood (you probably won't be able to get the small parts back).

Step 4
Squeeze tabs on old knock module & remove it. Push new module into place. Reassemble. Leave battery/PCM fuse disconnected for 20 minutes to reset the computer.
