Comments:
The flow of this Y-pipe to the stock Y-pipe is HUGE! What you do not realize is that where the Y-pipe meets to form the Y, there is only a 1" diameter hole, rather than a 2.5" hole (which is what you would imagine, since the pipe is 2.5" ) Maybe this picture will give you a better illustration: http://vetteweb.com/tech/0307Vet_Pipe07_z.jpg
What would make GM do that...I do not know.
