The story:

I was looking for a new boat because I was out growing the Bayliner. Years back when I worked at the bowling alley I spoke to a person that ran a Hydrostream. I looked and researched them for a over 2 years. Knowing that I had more people that wanted to go boating I started my search. Almost buying one on ebay, I ended up checking Boat trader. A guy in Ohio had this hydrostream with a damaged lower unit (gear case). I was sure I could fix it or find a useable used lower unit from a boat dealer. On the way back from vacation at Cedar Point, I stopped by the guy's house with cash in hand and hitched up the boat. It was a long ride home but, it was sure fun to see people looking at the boat. One over night stop in Pittsburgh and then home. Few weeks after having the boat I contacted a guy in Maryland about buying a lower unit. I drove down and brought it back. The next weekend it was bolted up and ran a test run in the test tank. After all this the boat has been crusin' the river for the rest of the summer of '04.

HAHA Summer of '05, What can I say? Its Early Sept. now. The summer has been a blast. The river has been low but the dam is taking care of us. Quite a few friends got rides this year, which was really cool. Being there almost every weekend, I got to meet more crazy people. The most ironic part of the summer had to be when I was out cruzin' with a girl friend of mine. When off to the Port side came this Centurion Jet boat. Off we went racing arround the end of Shelly Island and up between Shelly and Three Mile Island. When we got up to the power plant, we powered down and I looked at the driver. Here it was Greg, the guy that told me about hydrostreams! We laughed and talked about boats and told me about his friends boat (he was driving) and the place his friend owns.

After saying "this is the last trip" atleast 5 times.....I think I've taken my last trip this season. Nov. 6th....a beautiful Sunday. We got a late start but the running was great! With no boats out, the water was like glass. Blasting around all afternoon then watching the sun set was a great way to end the best season so far! I put in the lights and headed to the dock.
