Clutch Fork Groove?

Hey guys,
I replaced my clutch about 2 years ago (Spec Stage 2). When I replaced it, I noticed the clutch fork had a groove worn into it about halfway up.
What would cause this? From what I could tell, there were no moving parts in this area that could have done this...
Also, my clutch is no longer disengaging (it is constantly engaged- I can't shift into reverse when the car is running)
Am I right to assume that the clutch fork finally bit the dust?
That groove had to of reduced the strength of it. I hope that is the problem anyway because I don't want to spend another $500 on a clutch. --

I have no idea what you mean by halfway up.
You can assume whatever you want, but there's no reason to do that. To systematically troubleshoot you should acknowledge that there are numerous other parts between your foot and the clutch fork (or even a clutch issue like you mentioned). There are hydraulic parts that commonly fail/can't operate without proper fluid level and even a retainer clip that holds the pedal to the master cylinder (although I'd hope that one would be very obvious).
Be more specific with your description and let us know if you have already checked anything or are just speculating. --

I thought I had a picture but apparently I don't anymore.
I really can't explain it so I guess I'll just let it go.
Thanks,
