Today my car ran fine until I went to stop. when the A/C is on it bogs down at idle and will actually die sometimes. Turn off the air and it's just fine.
I just rebuilt the whole A/C system about two years ago. Put in a NEW compressor and all.
Any suggestions?
For those who don't know it's a 97 Z28, M6 Heads,cam, LTs ete,etc.

Is it not idling up when the compressor is switched on? Has the Idle air control motor ever been replaced or cleaned? What codes is it throwing if any?
Can you keep it running by giving it a little gas? --

Correct it doesn't idle up when the air kicks on causing it to bog.No codes yet. Yes you can give it gas and it is fine only does it at idle. What is the idle air control motor and where is it located? I know that sounds dumb but I don't know what that is. --

under the throttle body. I small metal cylinder with a wire plug on the end. Its easiest just to pull off the throttle body and clean it all at once. Remove the IAC and clean that port out as well. They are know to get full of carbon in there. --
