ReL LT1 Too Loud Posted By: niksmoov On: 08-08-2009 @ 19:47:35 Reply | Edit Need help trying to quiet down my LT1. I got LTs and Loudmouth(taking off). Can you recommend a muffler(s) that will quiet it down but not mess with the horsepower. I notice someone had a muffler after y-pipe with turndown?? It was quiet with a racing sound. The longer the muffler the quieter it will be. Other brands may work well too ie. borla, etc. Now if you want to change the cat-back all-together go with the magnaflow or hooker cat-back exhaust. Much better if you ask me. --

It's actually too quiet for me. I did it that way so cops wouldn't question anything. 383, off-road LT's and no CATS... Not sure if they actually sell mine but it's a Jardine's and on the inside there's a cone with a bunch of rings around each opening. -- 97 Formula, 383, Ceramic coated PS LT headers, 2800-3200 stall, DelTeq and a whole bunch of other stuff.
