! houston i think i have a problem ! Is the system bled? IE ..air in the system. Is there enough antifreeze in it? Is the mix of water/antifreeze right? Hose condition? do they collapse easy? Fans turn on at correct temp? Posted By: RoAdRaGe912 On: 07-24-2009 @ 01:35:37 Reply | Top | Edit From you description it sounds like you have a 160 degree thermostat (although it wouldn't really run 160) and stock fan settings. The radiator is getting sufficient airflow to cool down when you are driving, but not when you are stopped and therefore relying on the fans. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the fans set to come on at like 210-220?
