LT1 CAI positioning

i've heard a lot about the intake being badly positioned for puddles. has anyone had problems with this? is there any intake or elbow that will be positioned differently?

My sisters 1995 camaro would run fine in the rain but it wouldn't start if you let it sit when the filter got wet. We never did anything to change it but she hasn't had any problems of that sort recently.

i would probably end up getting those K&N filter covers to use when it was bad outside. i've heard that would help. i just didn't know if i could position the CAI like a corvette lt1, where it just sits in the middle

This is mostly a commit from people running a wet NOS system . there can be puddleing inside the intake and it can backfire . but this mostly from people trying to spray at low RPMs . i have never had a problem from my CAI as far as puddles go . it was a problem when i had a vortec on the car , but that was the only time .
