oil pump

im rebuilding my engine. leaving the block stock just doin the heads and cam. im goin to replace the oil pump. would it be ok 2 use a high volume pump. ive read somewhere that it wasnt?

Do not use a high volume pump on a stock pan. Not a good idea.

I recommend the Melling Select 10554 standard volume/pressure pump. It has a more robust casting than the popular M155.
