Can anyone provide me a link to pics that call out the elect. and emmision components for a 97 LT1. I asked prior and didnt get anything sound to work from. I have all the emmission stuff removed in the ECU, and the plates are over the EGR and air pump holes on the intake. I know that some of the vaccume pods/celiniods along with the vaccume lines that run to them can be disgarded. But I dont have anything to tell what can go and what must stay and be hooked up. I know Im not the only one who has done this. Where do we get the info. I checked at the dealer and I can get a diagram but nothing to tell me what is what. thanx in adavance..RT

If you're just looking to remove the EGR and AIR systems, just remove them. All of the associated vacuum lines, fittings, wiring, solenoids, motors, valves, etc., can all come out. When you have the new motor tuned, ask the tuner to tune out the EGR and AIR function, and you'll be all set.
It's much easier than you're making it out to be. -- 95 T/A.
Got some stuffs that go vroom vroom. Video Clip.

yea you are right 95 T/A. my problem was I had everything dis-assembled and what was left was layin on the bench. I couldnt remember where everything went, and what was hooked to what. I got it all figured out eventually. Anyway it is just as simple as you said. Anything with the EGR goes and rest gets hooked up and stays. Some of the problem was half of the rubber elbows and stuff were rotted from oil soak so I threw all that out. I got factory stuff where I could, and used uni stuff where I couldnt. Once I got a pic of what pods ran what, I knew from there. It wasnt hard, just time consuming.

There should be a decal under the hood as well for the vacuum diagram. But those can be less than helpful some times.
I would recommend keeping the canister and purge system assoiated with it. It does not rob power(of course EGR and AIR doen't either) But you would have to cap that line or find another way to vent the fuel tank to avoid the fumes being released into the engine bay or the cabin of the car. --
