Buyer's guide for used LT1 cars?

Forgive me, I'm sure this has been covered but my search skills are failing me!
I am thinking of rejoining the ranks of f-body ownership (years ago I had a 5.7L IROC-Z). There's a few LT1 cars for sale nearby that I will be looking at. The one closest to me is a 1993 Firebird Formula 4AT.
Is there a thread somewhere around here with a checklist of things to look for when inspecting used cars? Problem areas, etc? [ Edited on 06/20/2009 @ 10:59:25 ]

Same for most cars. Make sure is shift though all the gears if its an auto. Might want to make a wide open throttle pass if its an auto. The heater hoses on that 93 are probably rotten/ blistered if they havent been replaced. check for leaks and such as you would with any used car. Carfax, ect. 93-94 obd1 cars almost never throw SES lights, so maybe you might want to take it to a shop and have them put a scan tool on it. Hope this helps. Post up links or adds for cars that your interested in and maybe we can be of more help. --
