I've heard of people running 275's but don't take that as fact.
Do a search and see what you come up with. I'm sure its been discussed. --

i had the cooper zeon zpt 245/50/16. i really liked them and they wer pretty wide and reasonably cheap. And dont put a "colld air intake" that has metal pipes! Spend the extra money and buy a k&n kit. Its plastic and doesnt absorb all the heat that a metal one would. -- 95 camaro Z28 stock for now but a 383 is in the works

Stock Z28 tires are 245/50/16's. Depends on the rim size for the rest. 245/40/17's should have about the same outside diameter of the stock wheel setup. Only more rim and less tire.
You will definitely have to tune your PCM for the speedo to be accurate with the 4.10 swap.
Cunningham, there's no real disadvantage to using metal pipes. The intake manifold/throttle body is much hotter than the intake pipe will ever get.
I have a metal intake pipe and a smoothed aluminum elbow and have never had either not be cool to the touch if the car is running. Also, both being made of aluminum it only takes a small amount of time for the heat they absorbed from sitting under the hood with the engine off (heat soaked) to be dissipated.

I don't know what the stock rear tire size for a c5 corvette is, but I know people are running those rims and tires on fbodys. I think they are 18's. From what I hear you have to "massage" the metal over and behind the tire. Normal driving doesn't cause it to rub or anything, but if you go across a bump or speed bump, it will scrub.
