coolant light

On my 1996 Z28 Camaro the coolant light is on at all times, and when it gets hot I can smell coolant. Is there an issue or is that just something that happens with all LT1's?

If you mean the low coolant light, it is a very common problem. If you want, unplugging the sensor will turn off the light, but you lose capability to determine whether or not your coolant is low.

Replacing the sensor is the other alternative.

Thanks, but what about that coolant smell, does it sound like something is wrong to you?
