383 builds

just wondering what it costs to build 383 (with computer upgrades, fuel pump).... not just engine build. just rough estiment ..thanks a lot

If you're starting from a bone-stock car, and want everything done properly...

$3000 for the short block.
$3500 for the heads/valvetrain.
$1000 for exhaust.
$1000 for additional supporting modifications (tune, CAI, etc).

So you're looking at $8,000+. That's about what mine cost me. The engine itself will run you at least $6000, using quality NEW parts.

yea that sounds right to me but i have a exhaust bender and did that myself so it cost me 100 with you bullets and 20 feet of pipe
