97 ram air oil pressure problems

Posted By: migsyx On: 04-14-2009 @ 23:21:36         Reply | Edit
Whats going on? heres how this all came about. I was driving home from work one day right before I was about to leave for vacation.. on the way home the oil pressure gauge dropped really low almost reading at "0". I know these things are not very accurate but thats what the gauge reads. I went on vacation, came home and took a look at cold start it reads as it normally does cold and continues to read like so for 10-15mins at an idle or 5-10mins driving. I changed the oil (it was over due) and filter, and it hasnt changed a bit. My motor has never knocked and it the oil pressure was that low id hear the lifters ticking right? I went out and bought a oil pressure sending unit.. but cant find out where the god damn thing goes. i heard behind the intake, back of the motor under a firewall and about ten other possible locations. Can anyone help me find this thing, and better then that, how would I test it? what if it dosent fixor the gauge where should i look next? your help is greatly appreciated.
