If its a coolant leak where would it come from.It dont run hot the temp. is always at about 180 degree all day everyday.So what will happen if the fuel pump is weak,and back to the engine light it bleak on and off everyday when the motor start to heat up. Posted By: x91z28x On: 12-13-2008 @ 17:25:35 Reply | Top | Edit first thing to do is go to a local shop or autozone and get it scanned. you need to know what the codes are. could just be a cylinder missfire. if its been on since a install something might not be connected correctly. if its a coolant leak....can leak from anywhere. radiator, water pump, intake, cylinder heads, rad hoses, etc. need to get a rad pressure tool. it screws on the rad instead of the cap and you put pressure on the system. then wait and find where its leaking. it theres no leaks, put the cap back on and run the car..may be from the water pump your loss of power could me many many things. so first get it scanned and post the codes and go from there -- Any chevy can be an SS.
