before i get abused, i am a nub, how do i determine my gear ratio on my car (a 94 trans am)?

it is automatic, here is my vin decoded, some research i've done previously:
2G2FV22P9R2#
2 = Canada
G = GM
2 = Pontiac
F = F Body
V = Formula, Trans Am
2 = 2 door coupe (hatchback)
2 = Maunual Belts (dual inflatable)
P = 5.7L V8 Lt1
9 = Check Digit
R = 1994
2 = Assebly Plant (St. Therese)
# = Production Number

Look at your RPO codes. Your car will have GU2 or GU5.
GU2 -Axle, Rear 2.73 Ratio
GU4 -Axle, Rear 3.08 Ratio
GU5 -Axle, Rear 3.23 Ratio
GU6 -Axle, Rear 3.42 Ratio --

A lower gear ratio will give you more punch off the line (so numerically higher is "better" .
A higher gear ratio (numerically lower) will give you more top speed, if you're into that kind of thing. -- 95 T/A. Big cam. Stock heads, stock rear, stock suspension, stock bottom end, 100% naturally aspirated. Video Clip.
First and only pass: 12.52 @ 107mph.
Best 60' on 3.42s: 1.68
