T56 shifter plate Q...

Are the shifter plate bolt patterns the same for all t56 models? A friend is gonna give me his B&M ripper from his GTO for trade for some other misc parts. the ripper for the GTO is one of the shortest out there height wise. the shifter stick is removable on the ripper, its like a 3 piece same as the cobra models, puts the shifter handle nearly anywhere the driver wants it. eliminating the center section would put the shifter height right about where I want it. plus the camaro/firebird ripper has a stationary shift stick.

Is this the shifter you're talking about? It looks like it would work, but if not, it looks like you could remove the stick part and attach it to any fbody shifter.

I see. According to this thread on LS1tech, it will work. You just need to change out the little plastic "cup" underneat the shifter.
