Pedal Shake?

Posted By: NatronesZ On: 09-22-2008 @ 14:00:02         Reply | Edit
i was wondering if someone could help me. i did some work to my car over last winter and when i drive it normally and get up around 2800 RPM's the gas pedal has a little shake to it. it dont happen all the time but enough to make me wonder. i dont know if its just the vibration from the motor or if its something internaly thats loose. if someone has any expeirience in this some input would be helpful. Thanks in advance

Only in the pedal? At what speeds? Be very specific.

its not at any certain speed more RPM's. when it gets to about 3000 RPM (and this is being light on the throttle) i can feel shake a reel little bit. then when i shift it stops. and its not something that happens everytime but its enough to make me worry and want to make sure its not something internaly in the motor. the car vibrates a little cause i havnt done really anything to the chasis of the car yet to make it more sturdy. but the pedal thing feels like maybe something is loose. which i hope its not.

Do you drive around all the time shifting at 3k rpms? Or you feel this when your mashing the gas?

Ever changed the motor mounts? How many miles on the car? Ive had an out-of-balance tire cause some vibrations in the gas padal once. Or if they're over inflated you may feel the road more.

I might not worry about a tiny bit of vibration your feeling in the gas pedal thats attached to the almighty LT1.
