Brakelight troubles Posted By: Cenobite57 On: 08-02-2008 @ 22:54:15 Reply | Edit I've been trying to figure this out for weeks now and I can't find any immediate solutions. My brake lights work, when my headlights and parking lights are off. When they are on though, the third brake light works and the outter most bulbs on the tailights work, but the inner ones don't work at all. Checked all fuses, sockets and bulbs. I've read similar problems caused by the turn signal switch being faulty. What I feel it may be is that the previous owner had cut some wires under the dash and there are a few that lead nowhere. An orange/black one and a tan, maybe brown, one. Any help, as always, is GREATLY appreciated. Sounds like the 4 brake/turn/tail light sockets aren't grounded. The grounds look good. Anyone know what those cut wires are supposed to lead to? I could really use any help, I don't know why they were even cut to begin with and it seems like it could be a simple fix if the wiring is what is causing my problem.
