ignition problem i think need help Posted By: 96BlackTransAm On: 07-30-2008 @ 17:57:12 Reply | Edit I have a 96 trans am. It has a miss above about 4500 rpm under load. It also shakes alot in 6th when the rpms are low and I give it gas this may be because the rpms just arent high enough Im not sure. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. The coil is new the fuel pump and fuel filter are new. The opti plug wires and plugs were changed not long ago with accel products where do I go from here. Posted By: x91z28x On: 07-30-2008 @ 18:27:08 Reply | Top | Edit make sure no wires are burned...or cut. chevk along the exhaust manifold, or header whichever, any by the PS pulley...make sure the wires are all ok. make sure gap on plugs is correct, fireing order is right, everything is tight, etc. -- Any chevy can be an SS. Only a Camaro can be a Z28 Posted By: zstr28 On: 07-31-2008 @ 12:19:37 Reply | Top | Edit I'd hate to say opti but that is the same symptoms I had when mine was going out. -- 95 Z28, A-4, K&N intake, TF elbow, polished 52mm Edelbrock,free mods, gutted cat, Magnaflow catback, LT4 roller timing set, A/C AIR & EGR del. Meziere EWP, Hypertech prog, 160 stat, Hyp Tech coil, New GM transmission, rebuilt posi 2:73's. 97 Z28 convertable, A-4, fully loaded,bone stock.  
Posted By: camaro000 On: 08-14-2008 @ 21:51:43 Reply | Top | Edit i got a 95 z28 and i had the same problem and found out it was the MAS so check that out my MAS was reading 10 g over stock and came to find out it was the wires so i hope this helps
