Friends 96 TA dies at idle.

My friend just called me and asked if I know why his car would die at idle.

he tells me it drives normal, it just dies when he comes to a stop. His car runs very strong and the opti was recently replaced.

Im thinking maybe the Idle air controle valve?

If you have any suggestions please post up!

Thanks, Josh.

Thanks fellas for the input. I called the guy to relay the opinions and he said it hasnt done it in two days. ? From what I understood it was intermittant(sp) at any temp. He would leave his appartment in the morning and it would die as he waits for the gate to open, or it would die after driving for a while at full operating temp.

I was guessing IAC also. It will probly show up again later.

Thanks again, Josh.

its the iac its an easy fix
just pull out the old one and spray carb cleaner on it
if it doesnt fix it then change it out for a new one
