get the blockoff plates
and it wont effect anything hp wise
have it tuned out of ur pcm or you will have s.e.s. codes
its only emissions equipment
but if you live in a state like massachusetts and they do a visual emissions inspection then you will fail for not having the required equipment

read the sticky on tuning
you can do it urself with a cable and a laptop
or a desktop and an extension cord
or you can get a tune from pcmforless.com
but its like 75 bucks just for one tune
and you still need a cable to load the tune

either tune it yourself or pay pcmforless or madtuners for a tune. pretty simple, if you buy a tune simply send off your pcm and when it gets back plug and play --

you can physically send them the pcm and have them do it
or you can buy the $90 cable and tune it urself with the winflash program
then you can get updates for the tune if you change anything else in ur car and need it retuned.
not to mention how useful datamaster is if you have any S.E.S. lights
read the sticky on tuning and weigh your options
sending ur pcm out is simple and easy for a one time deal but you have to wait for your pcm to come back before you can drive your car
buying the cable has endless possiblities with tuning and diagnostics but the cost is the downside
put it this way if you get the cable for 90 bucks and ur really nice you could prolly get somebody on this forum to tweak ur stock tune for you for free
datamaster is free
and so is winflash
