Automatic trans from a 2000 Trans Am into My '94 Z28. I'm assuming its not a direct boltup, what needs to be done for this to fit?

I know for sure the convertors are different. They should bolt up, but the electronics might be different as well.

I'd call a reputable trannys shop (CPT) and ask them.

How about this, a 4L60E from a '95 Camaro into my '94. Please tell me that is easier...

Much easier. Should be a direct swap.

Great, after some more research I have learned that if this 95 tranny I am picking up is an EARLY 95 tranny it will be a direct swap, no issues. If it is a LATE 95 the speed sensor plug is different and while it should work fine without it, I would be wise to find one. If only where....

Now I'm hearing that a PCM issue will cause lockup problems if I put a '95 tranny in. I'm doing it anyway, using the '95 speed sensor and reflashing the ECU for the '95 tranny. I've heard plenty of stories of '94s with later trannys that worked just fine, and I'm taking the risk.
