Does any one know what the difference is on early LT1's (275 H.P.) & later LT1's (285 H.P.) What is it in the engine that gives the extra 10 H.P., or is it just B.S.?
Thanks.

I always heard it had to do with the dual cats that were on the later engines ('96 - '97). -- 1996 Z28 A4, 3.23 gear, leather, No T-Tops, factory chrome wheels Purely stock except for Callaway Honker CAI -- 1996 Z28 A4, 3.23 gear, leather, No T-Tops, factory chrome wheels Purely stock except for Callaway Honker CAI [ Edited on 07/05/2008 @ 12:07:23 ]

It was for the dual cats on the 96-97 (and some 95) cars. However, there's no seat of the pants difference. -- Steven, 96 Z28 M6, 04 Nissan Frontier

I'm a new guy here, and I have a question about the exhaust systems of the 94-97 LT1 Camaros. We have a 93 six speed with an aftermarket single cat and exhaust. Can we put a 96-97 dual cat system on the '94? Would a normal 96-97 aftermarket system simply bolt on? I'm thinking of TPIS headers, with an exhausst that is not overly loud, with no drone.
Thanks for the advice.
