No Start, No Codes, No Spark

Okay, I got a scanner, the Autoxray 3000 and upgraded the software to the latest version. I'm able to scan it but when I go to check current or history trouble codes, it say no codes are found. The SES light is still on, but sometimes when I start the car the light will flicker slightly and go off. The car still won't start. Also, I'm able to use the scanner to gather information from the various sensors. When I tried to use the clear codes option, it said it worked but the SES still comes on and the car still won't turn over. I've checked the wiring, and I'm getting good readings except on terminal B from the ignition module connector. I'm only getting 1-1.5 volts, even when I test it from the PCM. Also, the ignition module, spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor, cap and rotor are all less than 6 months old. I've checked the opti, that looks fine. My car is a 95 firebird lt1 v8 6sp. Any suggestions would be nice. I think the pcm might be bad.

When my PCM went the fuel pump wouldn't prime. Listen to see if it does. Check the harnesses and wires that go into your PCM. Make sure they are all snug and in good shape. If it does prime I'd check for spark coming out of the coil then out of the distributor. If it's going in but not out... there is your problem. -- 95 Z28, A-4, K&N intake, TF elbow, polished 52mm Edelbrock, free mods, gutted cat, Magnaflow catback, LT4 roller timing set, A/C AIR & EGR del. I have no spark from the coil itself. I think the connector going from the wiring harness to the distributor might be bad, any way I can test that?

If your engine isnt running, the SES light will be on.

okay here's for an update. I eventually got codes. It was a code 16 which points towards the opti but since the opti is pretty much new, and so is everything else I looked at the wire connecting the opti to the pcm. It has some corrosion and didn't look too bad but not great but decided to replace that. With the new wire, it fired up and ran great. However, after a day of sweetness it started crapping out again.
Here's what happens from when I sit in the driver seat. Turn the car on. SES stays on. Crank Car, turns over light goes off. Let run for about 5 or so minutes, car dies. SES light comes on. Crank again, usually starts back up but dies sooner. Continue until eventually it won't turn over.
I took it to GM...., they tried to tell me my battery wasn't tight enough and that they tightened for me. In their parking lot I tried to let it idle for more than 2 minutes, it died. They suggested since I've got no mufflers and there are holes in the exhaust after the cats, that there isn't enough back pressure and that could be the cause. Furthermore, they refused to do any more looking into until those problems were fixed.
Does that make any sense? Could the opti I got just been bad or maybe the module? I got warrenties on these parts so replacing them shouldn't be an issue.

Also, I'm gonna get the car back from them soon and I wanted to take a detailed look at grounds. Which grounds should I be looking at and where? I know there's the pcm ground behind the starter, which others would be relative to the ignition circuit?

The back pressure thing the dealer said is BS. I don't know WTF they're thinking. What do you mean by "Continue until eventually it won't turn over." Do you mean it doesn't start or doesn't crank? -- 95 Z28, A-4, K&N intake, TF elbow, polished 52mm Edelbrock, free mods, gutted cat, Magnaflow catback, LT4 roller timing set, A/C AIR & EGR del. Your coil may be getting hot and not firing properly. Also make sure you clean the contacts on the opti and the other end of the wiring harness. Then use the clear gel you get for plug wires and stuff before you put it back together. If you have have a buddy that will trade coils with you for a while to see if the problems moves to his car and stops on yours it could save you some bux. I've read enough to know that the Dealership knows jack about cars.
Good Luck --

Let me rephrase that, most of the time when a car gets old they don't want to mess with them and a lot of times unless it's a older guy that's been there a while, the tech may not have even been there or know anything about a car that was made it 95. Especially with the opti which isn't that common, I think only vettes, Fbodys, Caprices, and Buick Roadmasters got engines with the Opti on them. I'm fairly sure none of them have been put in a car since the 97-98 model years. --

Don't forget the simple stuff, how old is your fuel filter? Make sure you have 12-ish volts into the coil too. -- '93 Formula LT-4 Hotcam-headers-flowmaster-nocat-58mmTB- TB bypass-Rollers-MSD coil, wires and distributor-K&N-PCM forless chip

By "continue until it won't turn over" I mean, it'll crank but not turn. And I was fairly certain the gm guys were either lying to me, didn't want to deal with it, or didn't want to admit they had no clue. Its bullshit because I gotta pay them 80 bucks and all they did was tighten down my batter, wtf that was for, and tell me I didn't have cats, which I already knew.
The ignition coil is not even a year old, likewise with the fuel filter. I was getting the 12volts. I'm learning more towards a ground problem because couldn't that be causing the circuit failure? or maybe I just got a bad opti from autozone, its under warrenty.
Also isn't there a test for the ignition module that if while the car is running and you tap it, if the car dies then its faulty?
*sighs* I really wish this car wasn't so sweeeeeet

You can take the ignition module to autozone, I think they can test it there. --
