The z28 is down again Posted By: Formula93_350 On: 06-15-2008 @ 02:32:15 Reply | Edit (It's a 1993 z28) OK. So, I'm back again with the z28 (my formula still runs like a dream of course haha). This time, it's another bizarre problem. Seems to be a vacuum leak, but it's gotta be one hell of a vacuum leak. There is an obvious hissing, almost a squealing (it's not a belt, or anything belt related, I know that much). It almost sounds like it maybe coming from the throttle body. The car can barely idle, and when you hit the gas, it bogs out and actually seems to go slower than an idle, and after a while it would just stall out. What could be causing such a huge leak? Also, at one point, I thought the noise was maybe coming from the back of the engine. It's weird how something like that can make the car litereally unusable.
