Dyno run

Posted By: 96zebra28 On: 05-29-2008 @ 03:15:57         Reply | Edit

This was done on 05/28/2008 on a Dynojet at Olsen Corvette in St. Bonifacious, MN.

Not bad. I thought it wouldn't do as well. The guy working there (Max) said it runs somewhat lean but not dangerously. This is with a MadZ28 tune from 2 years ago. I'm contemplating a dyno tune.

Mods: CC503, 1.6 RRs, LTs y-pipe, no cats/AIR/EGR, flowmaster with gutted muffler, LT4 KM, NGK plugs, Moroso CAI, AI ported heads/intake, 52MM ported stock TB with airfoil, TB bypass, 160 tstat, Mezeire electric 43GPM waterpump,

The AI heads are the "street" port job.

I'm tempted to just leave the engine alone for now. Maybe an MSD opti upgrade next year.

It's defintiely running better this year. This spring I discovered a small header leak due to the header flanges not contacting the head on the bottom of each flange. I removed the headers, slotted the bolt holes down and added metal (weld) to the top of each bolt hole. This raised the flanges enough so that there is enough flange surface to contact the heads. I still have exhaust smell when the car is not moving but that has to be the lack of cats.
