Headers for lowered car

Posted By: number1 On: 05-20-2008 @ 15:58:44         Reply | Edit
It has been awhile since I last posted. I was wondering if anyone could help me with a problem.

I have jet hot long tubes on my car right now, and I am having issues with ground clearance. (Car has pro-kit and QA1 in back, and QA1 coil-overs in front)

I have been looking at headers to fix my ground clearance issue, but want something that will breathe with the supercharger I just bought. I would prefer to have no emissions hook ups. (As I ditched my AIR pump years ago.)

I have searched the forums for pictures of lowered camaros with headers, for reference. Any help would be appreciated. (Pictures would be helpful)

Thank you.

I don't have a whole lot of info specific to the subject I guess, as I've never had a lowered car, but I've often read that longtubes + lowered always has clearance issues... Unless you go with something custom to get them up a tad, you are probably going to be a low rider...

I'm open to any header, shorties and mids included. I was looking at Mac mids, but can't find any reviews and would like to have no emissions on them.

Thanks,
Shane

I had the MAC mids... Great header in my opinion... The coating never came off or anything through probably 50,000 miles... Lets put it this way... They lasted longer than the motor...

But yes, they do have the emissions things... You can plug them with an oil drain plug... I forget the exact size, but it was something like M22 maybe...

Oh, and the install was simple... Didn't have any problems with the steering knuckle or anything...

Thanks for the input. I think I will keep looking into the Mac mids, maybe they will make me some without emissions.
