Weird problem, car bogging out...

I've come this far, it's electrical. Basically, the car seems to always be hunting for idle/idling REALLY high at a stop while in drive (in neutral, it's totally fine). When you hit the gas and bring it above 2000RPM, the engine feels like it has a horrible miss and sputters and chugs and bogs out, eventually, it will throw a code. We took out the battery for 20 minutes and put the battery back in and, problem solved! But it's still idling really high and I fear the problem will return. In fact, I can almost guarentee it will be back (the bogging out problem). Anyone know why this is happening? Clearly it's electrical since taking the battery out fixed it for now.
Any ideas? As of right now it's driving ok. -- 93 Firebird Formula LT1, K&N FIPK, Accel Fuel Injectors,

Find out what code it was showing. Deleting it doesn't solve the problem. You can flash the codes by shorting out the A and B terminal (top 2 right ones) on your ALDL with the car in the on position but not running. The Service Engine Light should flash 1-2 3 times. Almost like morse code. 1 long and 2 short. Then it will flash the codes. After the codes are shown it will flash 12 again. Constant flashing 12's mean no codes are stored. Also check for vacuum leaks, correct fuel pressure, change your fuel filter (less than 10 bucks,) and check to make sure you have spark out of the coil.
Good Luck. Post up the code if you can find out what it is.
