Check the chip in the key with an Ohm meter. Then get a Resistor that matches the reading. Mine is 4700 ohm. So I'd need a 4.7k resistor. Wire it in under the column. I think it's the orange wire that has two wires inside of it. Make sure that's the wire for the VATS, I'm fairly certain it is. I'd hate for you to mess up your air bags or have them deploy on you. I'm just waiting for mine to go out. My security light has been on for over a year. I've seen it come on then go out and then it just stays on. I've checked my key, and have a resistor in the car just in case it quits while I'm out as a temp repair until I can get home to reprogram my PCM. On my IROC on the other hand, that's the whole reason I got it for 500 bucks, bypassed with the resistor and bam, starts every time. --

You'll need the aldl cable a computer and the program to tune it. I use TunerCats. Should have unplugged the VATS plug instead of splicing the wires. Then you could have just stuck the resistor in the socket. Then if you ever got it programmed you could program it out and have no loose or spliced wires. At least it's starting for you now.  There are some free progs out there but I use Tunercats it's one of the best.--
