I am looking at getting some coated headers, but I am not sure where to look or who makes a good set for the LT1. I would also appreciate some input on muffler selection and if it is possible to run a true dual set up.
Oh to let you know the ones that I have been considering are the Pacesetter ceramics and the Dynomax Ultra Flo bullet mufflers.

Pacesetters longtubes seem like the best deal for the performance gain to price ratio I hear the MAC headers are easiest to install though.
I can't speak for Ulta Flo's on an LT1 (I have a B&B catback) but I do have oval Ultra Flo's on my 72 GTO and they are damn loud with a great sound behind a big block.

It's possible, but it would have to be a custom job. I don't think running true duals would give you any more power than a good 3" pipe. I have the Magnaflow cat back and I like the sound alot. Its a deeper tone, louder than stock. The polished stainless steel muffler looks sharp as well. Flowmasters in my opinion, sound kind of cheap, raspy, and are louder than the Magnaflows. I havnt heard any other exhaust systems on these cars. If you take your cat out it will make it sound louder too. -- 95 Z28, A-4, K&N intake, TF elbow, polished 52mm Edelbrock, free mods, gutted cat, Magnaflow catback, LT4 roller timing set, A/C AIR & EGR del. I have a Flowmaster, I bought the name. Not that it's bad, and the sound changed drastically when I put the CAI on it. Much more deep and throaty. Anyways, if I had to do it again, I'd get a Hooker Aerochamber. That's what I'm putting on my IROC when I get to that point.
Good Luck --

IF you put pacesetters on your 93 your wil have to re-locate the oil pressure switch. This is a pain in the ass. Ask me how I know.
I ended up using Hooker long tubes(same as jet-hots) and I have no clearance issues anywhere. --
