Curb Weight

Posted By: 1993LT1 On: 04-16-2008 @ 14:09:02         Reply | Edit
I was looking at one of those websites that have 1/4 mile times for stock vehicles and an old Motor Trend article. I noticed a big difference between the 1993 Trans Am (14.8) and the 1993 Z28 (14.0). I was wondering if the curb weights listed are correct, TA - 3544lbs, Z28 - 3273. Just wondering if my car is that fat kid of the bunch. If so what makes it this way? More flair?

The weight you have for a TA is just about what mine weighs full of gas. I have no idea what the Z28 weighs, I don't have one to weigh.

Anybody have a link to that thread? Last time I weighed the car (with me in it) she tipped the scales at 3330lbs.

Remember the Trans Am seems to have a lot more body molding and visual flair than the Camaro; I can believe it weighs more.
